With less than a month to go before the premiere of Big Brother 18, rumors are beginning to circulate about who will be moving into the Big Brother house this summer. Will it be all returnees? All Newbies? Or some sort of combination of the two?

My guess, we will have two more seasons of newbies, which will set us up for the most epic season of Big Brother ever; Big Brother 20:Winners. By season 20, we should have enough interesting winning houseguests to create a dream cast that will pit all (or most, sorry Adam) of the winners against each other, to see who will reign supreme as the Greatest Big Brother Player of All Time.

Another possible, and maybe more realistic option, season 18 will be Big Brother: Second Chances. This will give the producers one more chance to have their favorite houseguests (that have never won the game) be a part of their epic 20th season of winners.

One issue that casting has been running into with All Stars, is the common availability times of their “must-return winners.” No Big Brother: All-Stars would be complete without Dan, Derrick, Jun, Dr. Will, Evel Dick, Hayden M, Rachel, etc.

So, if the producers give them all two years notice, and inform them that Big Brother 20 will be a winners season, with a $1 million prize, their golden children will have an ample amount of time to clear their schedules for the summer of 2018.

That leaves us with the question of who will get their second chance to become a Big Brother champion? The following, are the 18 guys, ranked in order of least to most deserving to get their second chance.

* Sticking to the rules put in place by Survivor: Second Chances, the houseguests that have played the game ONLY once, and never won, will be invited to be a part of the Big Brother: Second Chance cast.

Top 18 ladies that deserve a second chance at playing Big Brother…

 

18. Aaryn, BB15

 

Granted, she brought it all on herself, but Aaryn had one of the worst experiences imaginable on Big Brother. Her racist and homophobic remarks got her fired from her modeling jobs, and made her one of the most hated people in the country. To top it all off,  she was utterly confused as to why she was so hated.

Because she was so controversial, Aaryn became one of the most well known contestants in the show’s history, as her remarks in the house became National headlines. Still, Aaryn’s return to the BB house would be shocking, and quite a gutsy move by CBS.

But, as difficult as it may be, try and separate Aaryn from the racist comments she made, and acknowledge her incredible ability to win challenges. In just 9 weeks she won 4 HoH’s and 1 POV, making her one of the top challenges performers in BB history.

Hopefully now that Aaryn is in her mid twenties, she has learned to be more accepting of others, and finally understands why her comments were so hurtful and controversial. If any houseguest in BB history can redeem themselves from being on a Second Chance season, it’s Aaryn.*

*Fear not, America, Aaryn is like 13 months pregnant (or so it seems) and will not be in the BB house this summer. Unless, of course, she takes her newborn with her.

 

17. Amber, BB16

 

Amber got completely screwed in BB16 because of the massive guy alliance and the fact that Caleb was obsessed with her. There is almost no way Amber would return to the BB house and not form an all-girl alliance. Her biggest mistake was not listening to Joey in week 1 and getting all the girls together to take on the guys. On that same note, Joey would also be a viable returnee, but Amber would likely be able to get much farther in the game than Joey. Amber is extremely likable, easy to root for, a decent competitor, and has the potential to be a great strategic player.

My prediction: If Amber gets an opportunity to play BB again, she wins. And gets revenge for all the ladies of the BB 16 house.

 

16. Monica, BB2

 

Way before Derrick and Frankie got the tragic news about their grandfather’s passing in BB16, Monica Bailey had the misfortune of finding out that her cousin had been a victim of the 9/11 attacks, and was missing. No houseguest since has had to deal with such tragedy while living in the house. Not only did Monica choose to stay in the house (granted she was in the final 3 at the time), but she showed the strength and perseverance of a powerful woman and fierce competitor.

While Monica was not afraid to speak her mind, or stand up to confrontation, she was still extremely likable and very easy to root for. Monica was a candidate for Big Brother: All Stars, but didn’t make the final cut. 15 years after her first appearance, Monica could have what it takes to have learned from her first experience, and solidify herself as a huge threat in Big Brother: Second Chance.

 

15. Danielle, BB14

 

Danielle played a strong game in Big Brother 14, but ended it by making one of the worst moves in BB history. In the final 4, she needlessly chose to use the veto on Dan, but made him promise he would evict Ian over Shane; essentially ensuring herself a spot in the final 2.

When Dan evicted Shane instead of Ian, Danielle was blindsided and realized that she had been played by Dan. If Danielle plays again, she will be less likely to put all her trust in someone, and in turn, play a more cutthroat game. Couple that with being quite decent at competitions (she was the only female HoH during the entire season, and won it twice) and being mentored by potentially the best to ever play the game, Danielle will be a force to be reckoned with if she gets her second chance.

 

14. Kalia, BB13

Kalia was one of the only rookie houseguests from season 13 that had any sense of urgency in the game, and the intelligence and foresight to be a serious contender. Unfortunately for Kalia, that made her a much bigger target than the other newbie houseguests that season. When she was nominated in the final 5 against eventual runner-up Porsche, Kalia was the only logical option for eviction.

If Kalia had the opportunity to play in a house full of equally decent competitors, she probably would not be such a target, and may be able to stay under the radar for longer than she was able to in season 13.

 

13. Natalie, BB9

Natalie’s eviction in the final 5 of season 9 was one of the most heart-wrenching evictions in the history of Big Brother. She genuinely was devastated about her “friends” blindsiding her, and like her or not, it was impossible to not feel awful for her.

Despite the fact that she often annoyed many of her houseguests, Natalie was certainly the kindest houseguest in season 9, and even could be considered to be one of the kindest houseguest of all time.

Now 36, Natalie would hopefully be less naive and play the game assuming she was going to be blindsided each week. That may be the only thing she would need to make it to the very end of the game, and win over the jury with her sincerity and genuineness.
