Big Brother 18 Power Rankings (Pre Season)

After months of speculation, rumors of an All Star season, or possibility of a Second Chance season, and dramatic cast reveal delays that really got some fans fired up, the Big Brother 18 cast has been revealed. Well… most of them, anyway.

12 new houseguests will move into the house this week, and due to the fact that season 18 will be the longest season to date, it is safe to assume that more houseguests will be added to the mix on premiere night. If rumors are true, 4 past houseguests will join the 12 newbies, and a 16 person cast will make a full house.

Yesterday, the 12 new houseguests had their pre-season interview with Big Brother Golden Boy, Jeff Schroeider, and one thing is for sure, this season is not lacking diversity. The only lack of diversity in the cast is the fact that ALL of the ladies are brunettes. I can only assume that this is because there is still a lack of blonde hair dye in the LA area thanks to the ladies of Big Brother 17.

In addition to the four (speculated) returning houseguests, you may notice two familiar faces in the group of 12 newbies, as the Season of the Siblings will be in full effect. Big Brother 16’s Cody Califiore and Big Brother 17’s Vanessa Ruosso, both have siblings on BB18, and both are spitting images of themselves.

While the CBS pre-season interview and bio are basically worthless, and hardly tools in which to judge who will do well in the game, I am doing it anyway. Will the boys of the Big Brother 18 house form yet another male dominated alliance (likely), or will the Big Brother ladies FINALLY be able to get their act together and form a successful all female alliance (unlikely). Regardless of their gender, their ethnicity, or their DNA, the cast of Big Brother 18 is locked, loaded, and ready to give viewers a thrilling summer.

Without further adieu, the cast of Big Brother 18, ranked in order of LEAST likely, to MOST likely to take home the $500,000 prize after the longest 99 days of their lives.

Natalie is a 26 year old Event Coordinator originally from Caracas, Venezuela. Natalie is gung-ho on forming an all girl alliance, and therefore, Natalie will be on the chopping block in week 1.

The only way a female alliance will ever work on Big Brother again, is if it is formed half way through the game. Any all-female alliance formed in week 1 will certainly be sniffed out by the guys. If Natalie doesn’t switch up her strategy and refrain from being the leader of the girls alliance, she will be gone immediately. Her best bet will be to get in a showmance to keep her safe for a few weeks. Then, once the jury stage of the game comes, stab her showmance in the back, get all the remaining girls together, and be the driving force behind an all-girl final 4. Is Natalie, who is NOT a big fan of the show, capable of doing that? No. She is not.

Need 21 MORE reason why Natalie won’t win….. here is an excerpt from her bio on cbs.com

Favorite activities: I love painting, cooking, baking, eating, napping, shopping, online shopping, doing makeup, doing hair, tanning, pageants, dancing, going on dates, playing with puppies, looking at puppy videos on Instagram and online, party planning, decorating, having tea time, getting dressed-up, doing my nails, and bargain shopping!

No need to worry Natalie. You will be back home and looking at puppy videos on Instagram and online, in no time.

FINAL PREDICTION: Second evicted, but not after a week long fling with Paulie or Victor that they both hope to continue outside of the house. Until, that is, they get out of the house and realize there are way better options waiting for them.

11. Bronte  D’Acquisto

You literally can not make this stuff up. Bronte is a 26 year old student that is studying to become a mathematician. Jeff takes advantage of this during her interview, and asks her the most difficult multiplication problem that he actually knows the answer to.

Jeff: “What’s 9×9?”
Bronte: “9×9? 89? I’m bad with math in my head. I’m not going to lie…… I know how to do it on my fingers.”

The video below is the full conversation, because it is too unbelievable to not watch for yourself. Also, full warning: brace yourself for a very “unique” voice.

https://youtu.be/P16M52fpmps

Bronte better brush up on her multiplication skills, or there is no way her fellow houseguests will believe her when they tell her she is studying to be a mathematician. They will then suspect that she is covering up an even more menacing and/or threatening job, and she will find herself talking to Julie Chen before she can even comprehend what a 13-0 vote means.

FINAL PREDICTION: Bronte will be out in week 1, and if not, she will be dragged to the final 3, as there is no way she will be able to beat anybody that may be fortunate enough to sit next to her.

10. Victor Arroyo

Victor says that the 3 adjectives that best describe him are “smart, sexy, and fit.” When someone can not even come up with 1 adjective that describes their personality, I am going to go ahead and assume that they have absolutely no personality. Additionally, he says that his life motto…. his LIFE MOTTO, is “Get my money, develop my body, and get women.” I fully expect Victor to have a bit of a meltdown the first time he is on slop, and unable to fuel the “machine” that he has worked so hard to attain.

Victor will be so focused on getting involved in a showmance that he will forget that he is playing a game for $500,000.

If the women can somehow get power week 1, Victor may be just cheesy, cocky, and arrogant enough that they make him their target, and send him back to Slidell, Louisiana where I am sure they will welcome back their fit, sexy, smart, gym manager, with big, huge, muscular, open arms.

FINAL PREDICTION: Victor’s eight pack will be the first set of male abs to walk out the front door.
9. Glenn Garcia

While Glenn could easily be the frontrunner for being evicted in the first 2 weeks, if he can fit in with the younger crowd and find a safe place in a tight alliance, he should easily float to the jury.

The former police detective turned dog groomer from the Bronx says that he will not go down without a fight should he find himself on the chopping block. My prediction is that when he does find himself on the block, it will likely be as a pawn. His overreaction, and paranoia, will quickly turn him from pawn to target to evictee.

However, in one of the most bizarre pre interview statements in Big Brother history, Glenn informs us that he will not be opposed to flirting his way to a spot in the finals. Based on the way he obsessively hounded Jeff about his impending wedding to Jordan, if Glenn attempts to flirt with anyone in the house, he will very quickly find himself coming on to Julie Chen, and telling her how beautiful she is on a Thursday night in the very near future.

FINAL PREDICTION: Glenn will be out in week 1 or he will be 5th place.

8. Jozea Flores

Jozea is a Frankie Grande superfan that recently got into Big Brother. He was far and away the most boring houseguest in his pre season interview, which could be a good thing for him. He should not be a major target, but also, will not make any major moves. He will fade into the background and let his alliance take charge.

My conversation with the Dunkin Donut’s drive-thru lady at 6:45am is more lively than the conversation Jozea and Jeff had in his interview. If Jozea can not muster a bit more energy and enthusiasm, he will come across as not wanting to be there, and that will end up being his downfall.

FINAL PREDICTION: Jozea will very unceremoniously be voted out right before the jury.

7. Zakiyah Everette

Zakiyah is a pre-school teacher, and Big Brother superfan that has been watching since season 3. According to her demeanor, likable personality, and stunning beauty, I immediately thought of Zakiyah to be a front runner to win the whole game

.

….. then Zakiyah began talking about how much she wants to get involved in a showmance. Additionally, she said that she “hopes to have options.”

Zakiyah’s downfall will either be that she flirts with all the guys, and she ends up becoming the other girls’ target. Or, the more likely option, she will end up in a showmance, and then become the target of the entire house.

FINAL PREDICTION: If Zakiyah can keep it in her pants and forget about a showmance, she will win the game. She won’t be able to do that, and will be the first member of the jury.

Top 6

Big Brother 18: Second Chance – The Ladies (Part 2)

With less than a month to go before the premiere of Big Brother 18, rumors are beginning to circulate about who will be moving into the Big Brother house this summer. Will it be all returnees? All Newbies? Or some sort of combination of the two?

My guess, we will have two more seasons of newbies, which will set us up for the most epic season of Big Brother ever; Big Brother 20:Winners. By season 20, we should have enough interesting winning houseguests to create a dream cast that will pit all (or most, sorry Adam) of the winners against each other, to see who will reign supreme as the Greatest Big Brother Player of All Time.

Another possible, and maybe more realistic option, season 18 will be Big Brother: Second Chances. This will give the producers one more chance to have their favorite houseguests (that have never won the game) be a part of their epic 20th season of winners.

One issue that casting has been running into with All Stars, is the common availability times of their “must-return winners.” No Big Brother: All-Stars would be complete without Dan, Derrick, Jun, Dr. Will, Evel Dick, Hayden M, Rachel, etc.

So, if the producers give them all two years notice, and inform them that Big Brother 20 will be a winners season, with a $1 million prize, their golden children will have an ample amount of time to clear their schedules for the summer of 2018.

That leaves us with the question of who will get their second chance to become a Big Brother champion? The following, are the 18 girls, ranked in order of least to most deserving to get their second chance.

* Sticking to the rules put in place by Survivor: Second Chancesthe houseguests that have played the game ONLY once, and never won, will be invited to be a part of the Big Brother: Second Chance cast.

12. Renny, BB10

Being the oldest female to ever play the game did not stop Renny from becoming a fan favorite. Renny was nominated week 1 because of her argument with body builder Jessie. Once she survived, however, she became more likable, more entertaining, and a much better player.

Renny voted with the majority of the house right up until she was evicted in fifth place. She played a great game in terms of strategy, and her age was not a hinderance in forming tight alliances and bonds with houseguests nearly half her age.

Renny was a firecracker in every sense of the word, and her season-long bickering with 75 year old Jerry, made for some of the funniest fights in the history of the show.

One of Renny’s greatest fights in the BB house. All cumulating at 2:26 when she screams “YOU BETTER NOT!” at Libra. I could watch Renny all day and all night long.

The Renny and Dan time zone debate. One of the most amazing clips in reality TV history.

11. Helen, BB15

Helen gained a lot of fans on season 15, simply by not being an awful person that makes racist comments like the majority of her fellow houseguests. Helen was one of America’s only realistic options for a happy outcome with season 15, and once she was evicted, most viewers gave up all hope of having a satisfying, likable winner.

That being said, Helen played the game hard, and was a super fan of the show. She wanted to win, and was willing to do anything in order to get it. She was not scared to go after the power players, and make big moves to advance herself further in the game. Her alliance with Elissa proved that she had the ability to be extremely loyal, which is rare, but incredibly important in the BB house.

10. Jen, BB8

Jen Johnson is entertainment gold. Not only did she walk around wearing ridiculous homemade tank tops that said “JENSA MEMBER”, and “JENIUS”, but she also had arguably the greatest meltdown in the history of BB. Not because she was on the block, her friend got evicted, or she was fighting with someone, but because she hated the picture of her that was on the memory wall.

Jen was so oblivious to everything that was going on around her that it is impossible to take your eyes off her. She had absolutely no game or strategy (besides of course, having the foresight to go after Dick and Daniele in week 2), but somehow made it to the final 8.

During an extra special, and even more bizarre Jameka-God meltdown than usual, Jen demonstrates just how oblivious she is, as she requests a white belt for her new bunny costume because the black belt provided with the costume doesn’t match. You can’t write this stuff, and that is why we desperately need more Jen Johnson on Big Brother.

9. Keesha, BB10

If there is one thing Keesha did not do in season 10, it was fly under the radar. She had huge brawls (particularly with April), and formed extremely tight bonds (Steven, Renny, Memphis.)  Keesha was voted fan favorite and won the 25k at the end of the game, but it would be interesting to see if she would be as loved by America if she returned to play again. Drama surrounded Keesha everywhere she went, and she was constantly in the middle of the action. It is likely Keesha won the 25k as more of a reward for being an underdog that almost made the finals, rather than “America’s Sweetheart”, which CBS attempted to portray her as. Due to season 10’s HUGE female personalities, Keesha came across as the sweetheart. If she were on again, however, I think America would be shocked by how cutthroat and devious she could be.

If she were on an All-Star or Second Chance season, it would probably be difficult for Keesha to stay under the radar and drama free. But, it would sure be fun to watch her try.

8. Nicole, BB16

Nicole was a competitor in season 16. She was a good strategist and the only houseguests that was not in the “Bomb Squad” alliance to win HoH the entire season. The truth is, the “Bomb Squad”, and later “The Detonators”, were so strong that nobody had a chance against them.

Nicole did everything she could to take down the guys alliance, but unfortunately for her, the girls of BB16 were DOA. It would be interesting to see what she could do on a more level playing field in a Big Brother: Second Chance season.

7. Audrey, BB17

Despite the fact that she was absolutely horrendous at the game, Audrey is a must-returnee. She couldn’t keep her mouth closed, made more alliances than she knew what to do with, and had a meltdown that made the Big Brother gods giddy with joy.

Audrey may be one of the worst BB players of all time, but when it comes to entertainment, she is a legend. While her blatant disrespect of the rules of the game were pretty annoying, (she disregarded her food and hot water restrictions, locked herself in the Diary Room for hours on end, and didn’t even attend the Power of Veto ceremony that put her on the block), you can’t help but want to see her play again.

Of course, the odds of her ever coming back and WINNING Big Brother is astronomically low. But if Rachel Reilly can do it, I suppose anyone can.

Top 18 ladies that deserve a second chance at playing Big Brother…

18. Aaryn, BB15

Granted, she brought it all on herself, but Aaryn had one of the worst experiences imaginable on Big Brother. Her racist and homophobic remarks got her fired from her modeling jobs, and made her one of the most hated people in the country. To top it all off,  she was utterly confused as to why she was so hated.

Because she was so controversial, Aaryn became one of the most well known contestants in the show’s history, as her remarks in the house became National headlines. Still, Aaryn’s return to the BB house would be shocking, and quite a gutsy move by CBS.

But, as difficult as it may be, try and separate Aaryn from the racist comments she made, and acknowledge her incredible ability to win challenges. In just 9 weeks she won 4 HoH’s and 1 POV, making her one of the top challenges performers in BB history.

Hopefully now that Aaryn is in her mid twenties, she has learned to be more accepting of others, and finally understands why her comments were so hurtful and controversial. If any houseguest in BB history can redeem themselves from being on a Second Chance season, it’s Aaryn.*

*Fear not, America, Aaryn is like 13 months pregnant (or so it seems) and will not be in the BB house this summer. Unless, of course, she takes her newborn with her.

17. Amber, BB16

Amber got completely screwed in BB16 because of the massive guy alliance and the fact that Caleb was obsessed with her. There is almost no way Amber would return to the BB house and not form an all-girl alliance. Her biggest mistake was not listening to Joey in week 1 and getting all the girls together to take on the guys. On that same note, Joey would also be a viable returnee, but Amber would likely be able to get much farther in the game than Joey. Amber is extremely likable, easy to root for, a decent competitor, and has the potential to be a great strategic player.

My prediction: If Amber gets an opportunity to play BB again, she wins. And gets revenge for all the ladies of the BB 16 house.

16. Monica, BB2

Way before Derrick and Frankie got the tragic news about their grandfather’s passing in BB16, Monica Bailey had the misfortune of finding out that her cousin had been a victim of the 9/11 attacks, and was missing. No houseguest since has had to deal with such tragedy while living in the house. Not only did Monica choose to stay in the house (granted she was in the final 3 at the time), but she showed the strength and perseverance of a powerful woman and fierce competitor.

While Monica was not afraid to speak her mind, or stand up to confrontation, she was still extremely likable and very easy to root for. Monica was a candidate for Big Brother: All Stars, but didn’t make the final cut. 15 years after her first appearance, Monica could have what it takes to have learned from her first experience, and solidify herself as a huge threat in Big Brother: Second Chance.

15. Danielle, BB14

Danielle played a strong game in Big Brother 14, but ended it by making one of the worst moves in BB history. In the final 4, she needlessly chose to use the veto on Dan, but made him promise he would evict Ian over Shane; essentially ensuring herself a spot in the final 2.

When Dan evicted Shane instead of Ian, Danielle was blindsided and realized that she had been played by Dan. If Danielle plays again, she will be less likely to put all her trust in someone, and in turn, play a more cutthroat game. Couple that with being quite decent at competitions (she was the only female HoH during the entire season, and won it twice) and being mentored by potentially the best to ever play the game, Danielle will be a force to be reckoned with if she gets her second chance.

14. Kalia, BB13

Kalia was one of the only rookie houseguests from season 13 that had any sense of urgency in the game, and the intelligence and foresight to be a serious contender. Unfortunately for Kalia, that made her a much bigger target than the other newbie houseguests that season. When she was nominated in the final 5 against eventual runner-up Porsche, Kalia was the only logical option for eviction.

If Kalia had the opportunity to play in a house full of equally decent competitors, she probably would not be such a target, and may be able to stay under the radar for longer than she was able to in season 13.

13. Natalie, BB9

Natalie’s eviction in the final 5 of season 9 was one of the most heart-wrenching evictions in the history of Big Brother. She genuinely was devastated about her “friends” blindsiding her, and like her or not, it was impossible to not feel awful for her.

Despite the fact that she often annoyed many of her houseguests, Natalie was certainly the kindest houseguest in season 9, and even could be considered to be one of the kindest houseguest of all time.

Now 36, Natalie would hopefully be less naive and play the game assuming she was going to be blindsided each week. That may be the only thing she would need to make it to the very end of the game, and win over the jury with her sincerity and genuineness.
